Exchange Policy

In the event of an exchange, items are subject to product availability. The customer will incur any shipping costs for returning items to be exchanged unless the item has a manufacturing fault or was sent incorrectly. We can only exchange an item for a different size or colour in the same style, subject to our stock availability. All exchange enquiries should be made in the first instance by contacting  service@alternativeway.net with EXCHANGE in your subject line.

Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received (within 21 days) and undergone a quality control check.  Please be aware that you will incur an additional freight charge for the delivery of the replacement item unless the item has a manufacturing fault or was sent to you incorrectly..

Receiving a Refund

Once your package has been returned to us within the above stated time frame, unless otherwise stated by Alternative Way we will begin to process your refund request. Each item will undergo a quality control check and once verified, your refund will be processed in the original payment format as your purchase was made within 3 days of the date goods have been received. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchasers credit card account including GST, excluding courier charges. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when the transaction has taken place. Please note that your bank may require additional days to process and post the transaction to your account once they have received the information from alternativeway.net

Please note:if we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange we will get in touch with you to discuss next steps. Alternative Way reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged. Only items which Alternative Way can confirm as new and unused will be eligible for a return or exchange, so that they have reached our returns department within the time frame outlined above (unless otherwise arranged with and agreed to by Alternative Way)

Alternative Way will not accept returns or exchange goods for any non-faulty items that have been worn, and /or have their tags removed.

Please note we are not responsible for return postage other than for incorrect or faulty items. Sadly we cannot be responsible for parcels that fail to reach us, so please obtain a certificate of posting as proof of postage.

Online Security

Alternative Way are proud to be associated with KiwiPay. Alternative Way do not collect or store any credit card information. This information is all processed by KiwiPay. When making a purchase you will be directed to a secure webpage hosted by KiwiPay to enter your payment details. The KiwiPay hosted payments page is secured using SSL. Your credit card information is encrypted using the latest encryption technology in order to protect from third-parties obtaining customers’ credit card details. Kiwipay does not see this information, further protecting the security of the credit card information. When you access the KiwiPay website secured with SSL you will see the url prefix change from http:// to https://

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard & Paypal. Please note, your card information is not disclosed to any other party. Goods will only be dispatched once full payment has been received and funds have been cleared – this may take up to two days with Visa and Mastercard.

Pricing

All pricing shown is in New Zealand Dollars. GST (Goods and Services Tax) at 15% is included within the price. Payments from customers outside of New Zealand are required to pay by Credit Card in New Zealand Dollars. We do not accept any other currency. Your credit card issuer may apply charges for currency conversion. Alternative Way will not cover the cost of these charges or accept responsibility for any currency conversion charges.

Returns Policy

If you are not 100% satisfied with the items you have ordered, please email us at service@alternativeway.net and let us know the reasons for your dissatisfaction. Once you have contacted us, (and we have acknowledged your email) if you return your order to us within ten days of receipt, unused, with the goods undamaged, we will be happy to offer a full refund or exchange the goods for another item in the same style, subject to our stock availability.

Please Note:

  • We will only accept goods returned with prior notification by email with our customer services department at service@alternativeway.net
  • Except for items that have a manufacturing fault, we will not accept any goods that have been worn or have their labels removed.
  • The original invoice must accompany the returned item.
  • All returned goods must be sent to Alternative Way, 18B Grand Drive, Remuera, Auckland 1050, NEW ZEALAND.
  • There is no return or exchange for sale items.
  • Shipping and/or delivery charges will not be refunded unless the goods have a manufacturing fault or were sent to you incorrectly.
  • Alternative Way will not accept returns for any non-faulty item that has been worn, and/or tags removed.
  • We cannot guarantee that we will be willing to accept the item for return or exchange if you do not contact us via email within ten days of receiving your goods.

New Zealand Law

Any goods supplied or sold by Alternative Way are sold or supplied under contract of New Zealand Law. The Laws of sale and contract by any other country do not apply.

Privacy

The personal information supplied to Alternative Way will be stored by Alternative Way on a secure server. All information is encrypted whilst in transit. Alternative Way will not share your personal information with any other third party. Whilst all care is taken to offer a secure system we cannot provide a 100% guaranteed secure system. Please note, the information you provide is provided at your own risk.
